Dr. Patricia Jalomo

Pelvic physiotherapist Dr. Patricia Jalomo is board certified as a women's health nurse practitioner with nearly 25 years of experience in women's health nursing.  She has had specialized training in pelvic muscle evaluation and the treatment of pelvic muscle dysfunction.  As the sole clinician in a successful pelvic floor rehabilitation program, she has gained valuable experience using surface electromyography, anorectal manometry, electric muscle stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and myofascial release techniques to treat a wide variety of female pelvic disorders.  By combining non-surgical therapies and behavioral modifications with the option of pharmaceuticals, women who suffer from urinary and fecal incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and sexual dysfunction have seen significant improvements in their quality of life.  Additionally, she has had training in bowel dysfunction, visceral mobilization, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation and yoga for pelvic pain.  Dr. Jalomo is board certified by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) with a specialty in pelvic muscle dysfunction.  She is also an ICEA certified childbirth educator, ACE certified personal trainer, and an ACE certified health coach.  She completed her training as a women's health nurse practitioner and obtained both her Master of Science in Nursing and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degrees at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, TN.  In her free time, she enjoys cycling, running, weight training, and traveling with her two grown children.  Patty believes in lifelong learning, and is very passionate about helping women to realize that urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction do not have to be an accepted part of life.
